Notes
From ChildLitWiki
The Notes section is for brief factual snippets of information about the book, author, or publisher which might be of interest to the readers of the site, and which are not included in the Summary or Review sections. Please bullet them (by putting an asterisk * before each item), and please put your name at the end of each (by hitting the signature button above the editing box).
Example:
- The original edition, first published in Denmark, was called I am David. When first published in the US in 1963, the name was changed to North to Freedom, which led some to think it was a story of escaping slaves, and others a Holocaust story. When the movie version, "I am David," was released in 2004, the book was republished with the original title.--Matt 15:34, 30 July 2006 (PDT)
- The story is based on the work of Scottish philosopher David Hume, after whom David is named.--Matt 15:34, 30 July 2006 (PDT)
